What follows is a text version of this website: skillsFrom the generation of ideas to typography, illustration and interactive design, I have a very broad skill set. IllustrationMy illustration skills are rooted in drawing and creative thought. I often work in watercolour, but a versatile approach means I am always open to engaging with the most appropriate media for any given project, including digital origination. InternetI aim to design stylish, memorable and effective websites. In some cases I also carry out the production work. For large or e-commerce sites I work closely with a developer. Graphic DesignI am happy to get involved with many kinds of graphic work, from corporate identity and literature to exhibition design. I always begin work with a layout pad and I am at home with all of the standard graphic design software. Flash FreelancerFlash enables me to bring design to life using animation and interactivity, while retaining typographic integrity and graphic precision. The result: powerful and unique design work, from websites to interactive pieces. DesignWhether working on concepts or applying a graphic language across a project, I have a sound understanding of the design process. TypographyI have a 2.1 degree in Graphic Design: Typography from the University of Plymouth (Earl Richard's Road North Campus, Exeter). ExperienceTen years experience in the design industry has included time in London and Sydney. Private clientsI work with a broad range of organisations, from architects to pharmaceutical companies, creating websites, identities and printed materials. LondonDuring 2001 and 2002 I worked freelance in London. Projects included helping a packaging design agency to design and produce their own website. UniversityMy work with a university has included creating large interactive CDs and 'learning objects' for online courses. SydneyI lived in Sydney for a little over a year in 1999 - 2000. This is where I first worked for myself, freelancing with several top multimedia design agencies. UK-wideNow based in the Midlands, I work closely with design agencies locally and nationally on projects ranging from Flash websites to exhibition design. ApproachMy approach to projects is flexible and I fit in nicely to team situations. I generally work from my studio at home in Loughborough and keep right on the ball by telephone and broadband.
